Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about using the Sindh IT Portal — Facilitation Desk. For deeper how-to guides, see the Knowledge Base.
Who can use the portal?
Any information-technology company, startup, or freelancer based in Sindh — whether SECP-registered, a proprietorship, a partnership, or a provisional startup — can register and raise requests with government departments.
How do I register?
Go to the registration page, enter your organization’s details (legal name, entity type, NTN / SECP / PSEB numbers) and a primary representative’s contact information. After verification, you can sign in and start filing tickets.
How long does resolution take?
Each department publishes an expected resolution time for the services it handles. You can see these targets in the service catalog, and track live performance on the transparency dashboard.
Can I reply by email or WhatsApp?
Yes. When you provide a WhatsApp number or email, the facilitation desk and responsible department can respond through those channels as well as in the portal. All correspondence is recorded against your ticket.
Is my data secure?
Your data is stored on a secured server in a MariaDB database, with encryption in transit and at rest, and access limited to authorized staff. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
What languages are supported?
You can raise and reply to tickets in English, Urdu or Sindhi. Choose your preferred language during registration, and you can change it in your profile at any time.
How do I prove a request was resolved?
When a ticket is resolved, the outcome and any issued documents are recorded in the portal. Documents carry a verification token that can be checked on the document verification page.
What if I’m unhappy with the resolution?
You can continue the conversation on the ticket to ask for reconsideration. If the matter remains unresolved, you may raise a follow-up request and the facilitation desk will escalate it within S&ITD and the relevant department.
Is there a cost?
Using the portal and the facilitation desk is free of charge for registered IT companies and freelancers. Any official fees attached to a specific government service, where applicable, will be shown in the service catalog.
How do I see department performance?
The transparency dashboard shows anonymized, aggregate statistics — total requests filed, resolved, currently open, average resolution time, and SLA compliance — both overall and broken down by department.
